Privacy
COME is a group messaging app operated from the United Kingdom. This page describes what data the service processes. Questions and requests: privacy@smth.social.
Used to sign you in, via Google Firebase Authentication. Not visible to other members.
The name your group sees.
Messages, polls, events, and RSVPs you create in your groups.
Media you upload, stored privately and accessible only to group members.
How far you have read in each conversation.
Nothing else. We do not sell your data and do not use third-party advertising or analytics.
Data is hosted on Google Cloud (London), Neon, and Upstash, all in the UK/EU, encrypted in transit and at rest. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: the server processes content to provide the service.
AI features (catch-up summaries, plan suggestions, reminders, memory search) send relevant group messages to Anthropic's Claude API under zero-data-retention terms; this processing may take place outside the UK.
Group content is kept for as long as the group exists. Signing out removes the app's local data from your device. To delete your account and its data, email privacy@smth.social.
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data via privacy@smth.social. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). COME is not directed at children.
